PS3 Wired Controller - Recovery Mode

Symptom: The PowerA controller does not connect. This problem only arises when in Recovery Mode, but not when played normally.

Guidance: PS3’s Recovery Mode only reads controllers directly connected to the console via cable, and the only controllers that work with PS3’s recovery mode are the official Sony controllers. Our experience and research shows that third party controllers, wired or wireless, do not work in PS3’s Recovery Mode.
